WakeUpF1lthy's Fleet of Oddballs

You may have seen a video floating around in the past month of Playboi Carti bringing this scrawny, off-puttingly bug-eyed young man onto the stage with him. The guy then stands on the stage and stares out into the crowd below. For those of you who don’t know, this is Mike Mike and he is just one new member of legendary producer, Wakeupf1lthy’s wacky stage ensemble. Who are F1lthy’s friends and what do they do?

During his set last Summer Smash, F1lthy brought out a few internet icons as hype men and gave the audience an experience they won’t forget. Alongside a hot dog eating contest and a woman shooting sparks from her metal bikini bottom were Airsoft Fatty and BadlandsChugs. If you’ve been on YouTube at all the past few years, you probably know these guys.
Airsoft Fatty a.k.a. Chris Lafon first saw true internet stardom in 2019 when YouTuber idubbbz released his viral documentary, Full Force. The documentary followed Airsoft - a YouTuber, and his buddies from rural Michigan as they would make homemade Star Wars movies and stage lightsaber battles. The internet quickly fell in love with Chris and over the years he has gotten more and more popular. He has not only risen in online fame, appearing on streams and episodes of Fishtank Live, but he has also somewhat integrated himself into the underground atmosphere by hanging out with people like Joeyy and Acid Souljah. Chris has also been on a fitness journey and has lost over 200lbs! Now he joins F1lthy at all of his major festival sets; the internet can definitely take you crazy places.

BadlandsChugs has to be the most recognizable person in F1lthy’s crew, right now he has 3.6M subscribers on YouTube. Badlands is a competitive eater and drinker and he’s known for his videos that show him chugging huge/multiple drinks in outrageously short times. He became sort of a meme a few years ago and his videos would rack up millions of views each upload. The internet loves him and he seems like a really nice person. My friend 🟥 met him last Summer Smash.

The most passionate and most unpredictable person in the F1lthy Fleet is definitely Burt Bronx. Burt is an autistic, bisexual actor, model, and dancer. Bronx was completely unknown to the public until he had his debut on the formerly mentioned Fishtank Live, the controversial, 24/7 live internet reality show created by Sam Hyde and co. Burt’s antics and outrageous behavior led to viral clips that reached people who didn’t even watch Fishtank. Burt won Season 3 of the show and was subsequently added to F1lthy’s crew.

Finally, the newest and most surprising addition to F1lthy’s onstage friend group is Matan Even. You may know Matan as the “Bill Clinton Kid” or the guy who said “name 10 books.” Matan is a comedian with his own podcast show where he invites on comedians or generally strange people and makes them as uncomfortable as possible. It’s been pretty difficult NOT to see Matan in the past year or so given how viral his podcast clips get. It’s the job of his friend/employee, Mike Mike, to stare at guests and scare them however he can, hence his behavior after being pulled onstage by Carti.

Well, that’s F1lthy’s and friends. I think it’s pretty smart to combine the comedy world with rap concerts and works especially well if you have chronically online fans. These people, rappers or not, are performers and they know how to put on a show for the audience. What do you think of this group?
